About Madison,
I am a recent graduate of Western Michigan University with a B.F.A in Art Education with an Emphasis in Painting with cum laude honors. Being a part of the Lee Honors College, my thesis was entitled The Fine Mundane: How the Simple Defines Midwest America, an artistic exploration of artifacts that represent the cultures of the Midwest. During my studies, I had the phenomenal opportunity to study abroad in Aix-en-Provence, France, at the Marchutz School of Art. Being an oil painter, I specialize in alla prima painting, gaining great inspiration through Baroque, Rococo, and Pre-Raphaelite Art. I am a contemporary artist with a deep passion for creating. |
